the telling dream

Last night I dreamed I was telling someone that I was moving to France to study perfumery (as I have been doing for months) and, with a jolt, realized that there was no future tense to the story any longer;  I was already here!  In a millisecond, all the blanks were filled in, what my flat looks and feels like, what the city is like, the surrounding countryside- it was startling. 

I think this means I have really arrived- it has sunk into my cells, it’s not a concept anymore.  I am here.
